What would you do to ensure the survival of humanity? We thought we knew the answer the day the Ender of Men came for us. An exotic alien species from another planet and dimension, they were unaware of our presence as their asteroid hurtled toward Earth. Negotiations failed miserably and if theirs a god, only it knows what they saw in us as a threat. Billions of lives were lost, and the Planetary Council bent both their will and morals to save us.
After the Apophis incident, Earth began to fall apart. Life on the surface was unsustainable, and so the survivors fled underground to the hostilities of lava lakes, poisonous gas, and isotope plague caused by the exotic materials we tried to fuse in vain. With stolen technology from the Ender of Men, the Planetary Council built the cryogenic containment storage and VICKI - Virtual Identity | Computer Kinetic Interface, to oversee the population as we slept and awake us when the planet had become hospitible once again.
We began release from cryogenic stasis in the year 2222 AE with a mission to rebuild, faced with the desolation and dangers that patiently scoured the Earth looking for us. The end of the world came and went, and now the only question that remains is:
